One step closer!

I finally did it!! I've been meaning to start a blog for a while now primarily as a journal to my daughter, and also as a means to communicate with family and friends as they too await the arrival of my daughter. I guess that means it's getting closer? Sure hope so. It's closing in on 39 months since my documents were first logged in at the CCAA (China Center for Adoption Affairs). My log in date (LID) is June 14, 2006 (not a typo!). When my documents were first logged in it was estimated based upon the pace of referrals at that time that I would meet my daughter in approximately 10 to 12 months. Here I am, close to 39 months later and I'm still estimating ... yup ... another 12 months. While some may not beleive that it will ever happen, I'm holding out hope that patience will prevail. Baby steps ...
